Fixture edit panel (mobile)
The compact bottom bar that appears when a fixture is selected on mobile — fixture name, delete, deselect.
When you select a fixture on mobile, a compact edit bar slides up from the bottom of the screen. It carries the always-on quick actions — the fixture's name, a delete button, and a deselect button. Everything else (dimensions, rotation, type-specific options, color) lives in the full property sheet, reachable through the entity info button at the bottom-right.
Mobile only. Desktop shows fixture properties in the right-rail entity panel — there's no separate mobile-style bottom bar on desktop.
What's on the bar
| Element | What it shows / does |
|---|---|
| Fixture icon | A generic category icon. Read-only. |
| Name label | The fixture's name if you've set one, otherwise the type name with a capitalized first letter (for example, Vanity, Bathtub, Toilet Rough-In). |
| Selection count (multi-select) | When more than one entity is selected, the name label is replaced with "N selected" — the bar collapses to the count so you know your tap will act on the whole group. |
| Delete (trash icon) | Removes the fixture, or the whole selection in multi-select. Wired to the same Delete-key handler so undo behaves the same way: one history step for the group. |
| Deselect (close icon) | Clears the selection without deleting. |
Multi-select on the bar
When more than one fixture (or one fixture plus other entities) is selected, the name label changes to N selected and the delete tooltip reads Delete selected instead of Delete. The deselect button still clears the whole selection in one tap.
The bar shows on a multi-select that includes any fixture — the bar adapts to the most recent fixture in the selection for the icon, with the count for the label.
How it pairs with the entity info button
The mobile fixture edit bar is the always-on quick-edit surface. For everything else — width, height, rotation, From Wall distance (wall-locked rough-ins), pipe size, mount height, behavior toggles, color, notes — tap the entity info floating action button at the bottom-right of the canvas to open the full property sheet.
The property sheet on mobile carries the same fields as the desktop entity panel. The mobile bar isn't a replacement for it — it's the surface for delete + deselect + at-a-glance identification, plus a stable target for the most-frequent destructive action.
Moving a fixture on mobile
The mobile fixture edit panel doesn't carry a "move" control — moving happens by switching to the Move tool in the left toolbar and dragging the fixture. Single-finger drag in the default Select tool pans the canvas; the Move tool is the dedicated drag tool on touch devices, since a touch drag can't distinguish "select-and-move" from "pan" the way a mouse drag can.
For nudge-level fine moves, the arrow keys on a paired Bluetooth keyboard work the same way they do on desktop — see Place a fixture.
Tips
- The deselect (close) button is the fastest way to drop the selection without committing any changes. Tapping empty canvas does the same thing.
- To delete from a menu instead, long-press the fixture to open the fixture context menu, which has the same Delete entry plus Rotate, Duplicate, and (on rough-ins) Hide / Show Dims.
- The bar replaces other bottom-bar content for the duration of the selection. Switch selections (or deselect) to bring back the wall edit bar, opening edit bar, guide edit bar, or measurement bar if one of those was previously up.
- For renaming a fixture (so the bar shows your name instead of the type), use the Name field in the property sheet — it's at the top of the panel for every fixture type.
