Guide edit panel (mobile)

The compact bottom bar that appears when a guide is selected on mobile — distance from origin, delete, and deselect.

When you select a guide on mobile, a compact edit bar slides up from the bottom of the screen. It's intentionally small — a type label, a distance field where applicable, a delete button, and a deselect button. The full property list lives one tap further behind the entity info button at the bottom-right.

Mobile only. Desktop shows guide properties in the right-rail entity panel — there's no separate mobile-style bottom bar on desktop.

What's on the bar

Element What it shows / does
Type label H Guide, V Guide, Pin, or Measurement — read-only.
Distance field Distance from the guide's origin point. Only shown when the guide was placed with an origin (for example, a guide dropped from a measurement reference). Type a new distance and tap Apply to move the guide along the same direction at the new distance.
Apply button Commits the typed distance.
Delete Removes the guide.
Deselect (close icon) Clears the selection without deleting.

When the distance field is shown

Guides dropped through the Tape Measure tool's H Guide / V Guide chips don't carry an origin, so the distance field is hidden — the bar shows just the type label, delete, and deselect.

In v1, no active flow places a guide with an origin attached — the distance field stays hidden on the bar for guides you've created in this version. If you see it, the guide most likely came from an imported or older project.

How it pairs with the info button

The mobile guide edit panel is the always-on quick-edit. For more — explicit X/Y coordinates, snap-target settings — tap the entity info button at the bottom-right to open the full property sheet.

Tips

  • The deselect (close) button is the fastest way to drop the selection without committing any changes. The same as tapping empty canvas.
  • To delete from the menu instead, long-press the guide to open the guide context menu, which has the same Delete entry.
  • The bar replaces other bottom-bar content for the duration of the selection. Switch selections (or deselect) to bring back the wall edit bar, opening edit bar, or measurement bar if one of those was previously up.
