Send feedback or report a bug

Open the feedback dialog from the editor app bar to submit feedback or report a bug.

VisionPlan has a built-in feedback dialog for reporting bugs or sending us ideas. Use it any time something looks off, a tool doesn't behave the way you expect, or you want to suggest a feature. Submissions go straight to the public feedback board on the portal so we can track them with the rest of the queue.

Open the feedback dialog

  1. In the editor or the 3D viewer, tap the feedback icon in the app bar (speech-bubble icon).
  2. Pick a category from the segmented control at the top of the dialog: Bug, Feature, Complaint, or Praise.
  3. Type a short Title (required, 3–200 characters) — for example, Wall snap fights me near doorways.
  4. Add optional Details (up to 5000 characters) if you want to expand on the title.
  5. Tap Send.

What gets included

Each submission is tagged automatically with:

  • The app version and build number you're running
  • Which screen you opened the dialog from (editor or 3D viewer)
  • The project you were in, if any

That context makes it much easier to reproduce a bug or understand which workflow your idea applies to. You don't need to mention any of it in your message — it's attached automatically.

What to put in the message

For a bug:

  • What you were doing when it happened
  • What you expected
  • What actually happened

For feedback:

  • The problem you're trying to solve
  • The workflow or tool the idea relates to

The shorter and more specific, the better. A two-line bug report with clear steps is far more useful than a long paragraph.

Tips

  • If you're in the middle of a draw, press Esc first to cancel it cleanly before opening the dialog.
  • The feedback board is part of the dashboard at portal.visionplan.app. Sign in to your account and open Feedback to see the queue. Submissions from the whole VisionPlan community are visible to signed-in users so you can browse what's already been reported and what's being worked on. Admins respond directly on each thread.
